I find that ok, but as the face of this website, I just don't believe that you should showcase your favorites. You have a lot of pull on this site, people watch your moves very closely. pretty much like the Oprah book club

My apologies to anyone who feels like me highlighting certain bikes on the RRB Facebook page has caused them to not win this build off. As I said before, I just chose bikes that I thought would draw attention and bring more traffic to the site. Not one time did I think that me posting them there would create votes for them, I guess I was naive...I'm sorry for that.

The very last thing I want from this event each year is for people to get caught up in voting and winning. Situations like these pretty much have me convinced that I will no longer include voting as a part of these build offs anymore....it's just not worth the grief.

I'll have to come up with another incentive for getting folks to finish their bikes and pushing the creative envelope.

I appreciate every single builder who took the time and spent the effort creating their bikes...you're all winners in my book. :wink:

Let me throw my 2 cents into the ring here for a moment...
I'm new to RBB.com and to the whole build off thing. I joined RBB.com because I came across it via google while doing some research on a bike I picked up at a garage sale. I'm also a fan of RBB.com on facebook. If anything the posts on facebook inspired me to go bigger and better with my build. I never once felt slighted or looked over for not getting featured. At the end of the day I am extremely happy to be a part of a forum full of talented builders who share the same interest as I do, and look forward to getting to know more people and building more cool bikes! If it wasn't for RAT ROD none of us would even have a place to share all of our talents, or interests. To anyone who is giving him grief, please feel free to start your own forum and start your own build off. We all should be thanking him for all the hard work and dedication he has given this site! GREAT JOB TO ALL THE BUILDERS!!! Everybody who completed or attempted to complete a bike is a winner in my book!!! LETS DO IT AGAIN! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Ok i gotta throw in my two centts sorry. Steve as u call highlighting some builds was wrong period. I would have just posted a link to the gallery of bikes and been done with it. Did i post a pic of mine on my page? Yea i did but i did not post a deal to the build or make a big deal bout it being a build off bike. Dont know if mine made u page or not i looked through it and did not see it. But i do think that influanced the voting featuring some and not all. I think i can speak for many and say that we put a lot into our bikes every year and it would suck if the voting came out a way because of fb. I wish the best of luck to all in the build off and steve i am not mad at u just remember when u have 1800 plus friends on fb that might affect things. Texas it is fun just if we are going to vote it needs to be an even playing feild

I guess RRBBO as we know it is no-more??? Too bad. I always thought the voting was a BIG, FUN, and EXCITING part of the build-off. Including phylosofical complaints and nagging about voting and rules. Often has been told we should not take the build-off, the voting, and the rules thát serious. Well, maybe we should not take the nagging and complaining about it that serious either...

In the end I'm sure that 99% find that the Build-off is okay the way it ism and always has been. Delete the voting-part will only generate A LOT more nagging and complaining.

BTW: I've seen the mentioned facebook posts and feel there has been hardly any influence on the voting ...AT ALL.
I understand the paranoia, but the bikes that are getting the votes (not all were my favorites) deserve them. Mind you, there are also build-off bikes on that page that aren't doing so well in the voting despite of being highlighted. How would you explain that?
