I'm wanting a fork like this. Where is the cheapest place to look? It needs to be a 1" threaded neck. I can this this one for a total of $55

Not sure. I know where I would go, but that doesn't help you. There's a semi-permanent bike booth at the local big flea market that sells chinese parts like that for cheap. Last time I was there, I think that front end was like $40.

Maybe you have something comparable in your area?

Unfortunately I don't. However, I found one on eBay for around $48 shipped

I saw one of these on a bike that a guy was selling at a swap meet. He was 260- 290 lbs and he was complaining that they were bent after he rode the bike. You get what you pay for. Cheap is not always the best quality.
Otherwise these are available at every swap meet I have ever been to.
