I have a headlight lens that has yellowed from age. Any tricks for restoring it to clear?

Also, I have a plastic window for a shift console that has been rubbed with age. Is there a gentle way to buff it clear?

There are headlight restoration kits sold for plastic headlight covers on cars that have yellowed or hazed from abrasion Not as good - but works for some problems - Mothers Plastic Polish .

I'll try to find the video on the tube, I can't remember if it was peroxide or vinegar. But it looked like it worked.

Might be a day or two, my sixth grandkid is coming tomorrow. My first grandson.

Love my granddaughters, but I'm pretty stoked.

Modern headlight kits rely on polishing a scratched and faded surface off an otherwise crystal clear lens. The repair is sometimes enhanced by applying a UV-stabilized coating. If your vintage lens has yellowed throughout, I doubt there is little chance of correcting that. Never hurts to try.
