I don't know, I guess it depends on the materials used. PVC would be fairly cheap and would make a great waterproof and lightweight shell. I want to try this and make a '49 Mercury lead sled, a '32 Ford "Woody Wagon", or a '29 Ford Pickup with wood bed. They even got wood colored duct tape!

This would be cool to do out of PVC, weatherproof so you could ride rain or shine.
