It looks like a Schwinn, and it's skiptooth. The wheels don't look Schwinn, and those forks are bent back a little. If I was looking for a 24" bike, that would be a good deal for me.
Prewar bike for sure. The year? The chainguard is the giveaway. That guard came out in 1940. So your bike could be a very late 1939 Christmas bike, or it's a '40 or '41. 24" bikes rarely survived as they were always passed down. Yours looks like it might be all original and is in great condition. Pretty uncommon I'd say. Gary
