1918 Mead Ranger with NOS Firestone 28 x 1-3/4 Old Style Tires over wood clad wheels
This is my current Holy Grail of my collection. It would be my last man standing if I ever cleared out the herd.
Late 30s Western Flyer Restoration Before and After pics. I love the Shelby Airflo frame. I recently learned that Shelby built these bicycles for Western Auto, hence the unique frame. Notice the seat tube is located behind the rear drop out "Y"
This is my 1938 5 Bar Hawthorne. Noted for its unique Monark frame built by Monark for the Hawthorne line.
This is one of those golden finds. Ive learned of its rareness. Picked it off of ebay on a ridiculously low "buy it now". It had one picture for the listing
that was from a distance with the bike leaning against a tree. Obviously it was very rough which Im sure thats why the seller had the one distant pic.
I could see the straight down tube, so I knew it was prewar and the long spring seat was worth double what they were asking. I jumped on it and once I got it in
I saw how awesome a find it was. I had no idea what it was just knew it was different with the double bars on tob and bottom. With some help from "Highwheelerboy25"
Josh told me " Its a 5 Bar Hawthorne " Sure enough it is. We restored it recently. Thanks Josh for your I.D. insight
I also should note that I have a great painter who works for me. Once I tear the bikes down, I turn them over to him to paint, and then I reassemble them afterwards.
His name is Keith. You do great work. Thanks Keith

My 50s Shelby Airflo, This was a one owner, owner recently passed away, and the widow was sending it to the scrap yard, when the brother in law posted it for cheap, cheap on CL.
I have fenders and tank to add to it soon.
