Ouch!

The doctor just called and said it came back as cancer. He said that
on the cancer scale it was a 2 between 1 and 4. He also said he took out
a lymph node and it came back clear. So he didn't find any in the surrounding
tissue so he felt like it was all removed with the kidney gone. So hopefully its a done deal from the way he talked.

I hope it's all clear,I have no idea what it's like to have a part removed but it sounds like it was a good thing in this case.

A prayer for a full recovery

Kingfish since I will probably never build a bike again, the ones I
kept are like my babies. Even if I never ride one again, they stay.
imagine I will be gone at some point and my younger wife will
sell them in a garage sale, but for now they are mine.

Yep Deorman looks like three bullet holes and a knife wound.

Kingfish moving to this house and giving up my shop and lots of my bikes
was a struggle. I kept about 6 or 7 and the rest went by the
wayside. I had to grit my teeth to pair them down but life
changes and you sometimes have to move on no matter
the sacrifice.

Glad to hear that the recovery is expected to be good. Rest when you're told to, get some exercise when you're told to and soon enough you will ride your treasures around some.

You look pretty good for a guy who had his kidney removed. Hang in there. You will always have a place in my heart.

Thanks guys I really appreciate the support and prayers.

Clancy its funny this all started when my thyroid went crazy and I lost
25 pounds in a month. I was eating boxes of twinkies, ding dongs, and
those cool sugar doughnuts like crazy and still loosing weight. It
was fun while it lasted. They finally got that under control enough
to operate on my kidney that they found by accident. So it was
a good deal that the thyroid acted up to find my kidney problem.

So Kingfish254 wants Uncle Stretch to wind up with a reinforced newly-welded metal skeleton, an extra two feet of height, a two-speed transmission in his pelvis for hilly terrain and a two-tone candy-coat skin to complement his new white-walled shoes...I guess that would be pretty awesome actually...

Get well soon Uncle Stretch-and take some young Padawan with a nearby workshop under your wing and i'll bet you find some more bike designs in you after all!

Well would like to be about 20 again but at this point in
life will settle for just healing nicely.
I have showed everybody how to build a frame, and built a bunch.
My job is done grasshopper the world belongs to you.
