I found this baby in a barn, single owner, used as newsie bike. Way overpaid but had to save it.
Grips don't look right, but have been on for decades

You probably were aware, but the tank alone is worth $500 to the right buyer so overpaying is a relative thing :mrgreen:
What head badge is on it? Just curious...

The pedals are newer as they have yellow reflectors. But very cool bike.

Any guesses as to year and model? I think I know but thought guessing might be fun for some.

I am pretty sure its a 1936 or 37, definately a dayton. Hopefully 37fleetwood will chime in...He is the resident dayton expert.

Looks like a Dayton or Huffman to me. I have a 1940 Huffman built Western Flyer with the same tank. What does the head badge say ?

I seen that bike on CL but to far of a drive for me glad to see it went to a good home. I would say it is not newer the 38 because in 39 the down tube had a slight bend to it and 40 on had more of a curve to it. Nice bike.
