I believe this is my 10th build off? Can’t remember.

After last years successful attempt at a 70 year old electric balloon tire bicycle, I’m going after it once again.

Edison Electric Bicycle Company will be teaming up with American Vintage Bicycle Supply to bring the world another “Project Ed”.

This year we'll try to make the electric equipment even less obvious.

The base frame is a 1946 J.C. Higgins badged Westfield.

Let the games begin,
Tyler

Not a lot of progress today but it’s tradition to do some work on May 1st so I got the crank and sprocket on along with the chairguard from the girls donor bike. What you see in the picture will be the paint scheme moving forward.

Here is the donor bike. The bent fork along with it not selling when posted called for the sacrifice.

Great build last year and I’m sure this one will be even better . After going down the old battery road once already. Looks like a good starting point with one of my favorite chain guards .[emoji631]

You need to hide the electric stuff in a license plate tank.

Unless yours fits perfectly and you’re giving it away, I just can’t put that much time into the tank!! Haha

Luckily I’ve got a tank for this frame in the parts pile. Just need to do some mods for the battery.

Cool. I have that same chainguard and wasn't sure what it was from or how it was painted. Yes, now I know.
