As usual I'll just be making things up as I go along. Due to the bike boom I haven't ended up with any donor bikes in the past year so picking are slim.

Great use of an old Skil saw gaurd! I think I would add an old blade to the sprocket with some spacers so it wouldn’t interfere with the chain!We all know that you don't need bikes for your build. Skilsaws and exercise equipment work just fine.

I've made a slight change of plans, but I did make a little progress yesterday. It's hot, humid and I've been without AC for nearly a month so my motivation has been somewhat lacking. I had considered making a quadracycle, but tecnically a bicycle has to have two or three wheels in my state so now I'm making a trike. I figured the front end and steering is the hardest part so I'll start with that. The yolks for the spindles are 2" square tubing and the kingpins are 1/2 and ride on bronze bushings.
The ends are welded at 13 degrees, and ideally the whole axle will angle back at 12 degrees caster.

Here's the bulk of the axle assembled, although the spindles aren't finished. I need to figure out what wheels I'll use to get the size right but the stub axles will probably be 15mm or 5/8.

I built the front half of the frame today. It's 20"x49". That should be wide enough to allow the pedals to operate inside the frame.

Looks like a normal SSG build so far!!! This should be fun!
The wheels I had intended to use turned out to be an obsolete schwinn size (547 iso), so I'll need to find another pair, hopefully standard 24" (507). I do have a set of 20's that will work, but the 24" is a bit more proportional.
Anything new been happening?
