Your right, I’ll try to swap out the chainring this weekend for a smaller one and attempt to make the Chain guard fit.

So it got me thinking on ride back home as it probably looks New to that younger person, so I thought to add some older, patina parts to it, I personally thought it took away from the design integrity of the SK, what do you all think?

I think that chainguard would look good on any bike , even a fixie .

The guard ties in the red tires and seat, and less 'fixie'.

Raise the front of the guard to level. Otherwise, it looks really good without the guard as well.

Crusty guard looks good on there and ads some age. That black guard is super cool and might look good with some black fenders.

Think the fixie comment probably has more to do with the bars/riding position. I get the opposite..."Oh I had one just like that"..they never see the modern parts.

I like the chainguard! I fitted mine with a 7 speed internal rear hub, options definitely help these heavy bikes going up hill

Great build. I am pretty sure you can get smaller Monark paisley chainrings. I've never seen anyone use one of those Iver guards on a SK before, but I really like it on there. Keep having fun with your experimentation.

Electra also made a ‘paisley’ style chainring that’s VERY similar to the Monark.

Found a few old seats in a box of parts I forgot I had! I accidentally pulled the Schwinn seat cover and saw this, thought it flies with the QU14K-SILVER theme

My Attempt at building a inexpensive Solar Charged Light using one of the Wifes Solar Plant Lights (Shhh She doesn’t know it’s missing).
It certainly Works! Just need to make an ON n OFF switch since it’s an Auto-On type when it gets dark out.

I think it was GuitarlCarl that used a seat like that, but placed clear tubing over the springs to make the ride a bit less painful .

More Goodies Found in that Box, WC Choppers Tank, Just wanted to see what it would look like on the SK! Hmmm, maybe if it were polished?

Your saddle just gave me an idea. What if you got some long springs like those in the saddle, and stretched them between the head tube and the seat tube, in your tank space?

I like the lines on these frames, and your WC Chop tank distracts from those beautiful flowy lines, IMO.
