Question about mag sprocket.

So I was at my LBS and they had a ol skool mag sprocket in a parts box. I didn't buy it but it was different than the schwinn one the crates use. This one had what looked like little lug nuts cast into the sprocket too.

I can't find a pic of one. Anyone know what I am talking about and know more? It is pretty common?

I think the Huffy mag sprocket looks way better and looks more like a cars mag wheel than Schwinn's does.

Depending on the price you should have picked it up, they are nice sprockets

I only picked up that 3 speed to get the sprocket. Then someone wanted the whole bike, so away it went.

You might be right. Looks like they sell for $25-$35 bucks for the only two I saw in completed listings on Ebay. I need to get back over there.

The chrome seemed to be pretty good quality. On the 3 speed. it looked rusted beyond hope when I got that bike, but it's a good as a Schwinn for quality of chrome.

i just bought that same sprocket last week at my lbs for 2.50 and they look great on bikes
