Question about old kickstands

My apologies; I'm sure this has been covered already plenty, it's just one of those situations where I can't do any more research until I know the terminology.

Is there a name for these old kickstands that go into a cylinder welded onto the frame?

The one on my wife's bike is starting to sag when it's in the upright position; I assume this is just the spring wearing out. How easy will this be to replace?

I also just bought a more modern Schwinn Heavy Duti frame from Ind-Chuckz that has this same kind of welded-on cylinder (without a kickstand included). Any recommendations on where to get my hands on one?

Schwinn Kickstand is all that I have heard. You should be able to find replacement(old) parts either here or on Ebay. Put up a wanted advert. You may need to figure the length out on that newer heavy duty.

Felt uses a similar design.... not sure if they're interchangeable....

There is a soft steel pin in the end of the kickstand, inside the tube. Your pin is worn, that's why it's loose. You need to take it apart, knock out the pin and replace it with a new one. A homemade pin the same dia. will work fine.
Go to the bottom of this thread and you'll see how to make a tool to take it apart. Gary
