Aaron,
as I stated, my Stella was so choked from the factory
I could only get about 45 out of it aftre meticulous
break-in. After I piped and jetted it and hammered
the cylindar into submission I could get a car-timed
58mph. I think a windshield might have gotten me
about 2 more though. But, 2 strokes do sound good !
Mine had a deep p0PpaPoPp0pp0p0pop sound that
reminded me the AWESOME Hooker piped Hodaka Road
Toad from the era when men were men and sheeps were
scared !!!

I stand corrected :p  I haven't ridden a Stella in 3-4 years. Best two banger I ever rode was one of God's Gifts to speed...1972 Kawi H2 Mach IV...most fun I ever had out of bed  The only other odd 2 banger I played with were the old ringy ding Saab 93's. We would try to set the timing as close to TDC as we could for max power, but every now and again it would slip a bit past, so when you started the car the engine would run in reverse... The most recent blast I had was driving one of my wife's best friends Honda S2000 that thing is a blast, especially when it gets wound up around 7-8grand. Not a 2 stroke tho.

Well the local kijiji site provided me with a winner. A 2003 Honda Jazz. New tires, brakes, suspension and headlight. Going to see the scooter and seal the deal tomorrow if everything fits with the description. See it here:http://montreal.kijiji.ca/c-autos-e...tes-Scooter-Honda-Jazz-2003-W0QQAdIdZ16792166

Thanks for your help guys. Might call on you when it's time to fix it

Those are actually pretty easy to work on and parts are as close as your local Honda Dealer.

If you need help, advice, or want to read some reviews of a modern scoot be it Chinese or otherwise visit us a ScootDawg. Friendlier than the BBS no flaming is tolerated of people or scooter brands but if you need help on a vintage manual shift I have give the nod to the guys at the BBS or http://www.stellaspeed.com

http://scootdawg.proboards59.com I'm ACD there too and I moderate the forum and do the site work.

A Stella with a side car goes about 45 mph. If you have never driven a side car it's a huge learning curve. ( I drove a URAL sidecar rig) Bike pulls right accelerating, left when breaking, and easily tips over if your not careful taking right turns. Practice, Practice, Practice. Put a hundred pounds of something... NOT PEOPLE in the side car to help hold it down while learning.

Ha ha...I left a longwinded piece of advice about bicycles on
your board under the name of "scootatubbie" :D
I also gave you plug earlier in this thread :D
Your board is sort of like this board in the way people post.
Very friendly !

RatBoy thanks! I decided to forgo getting a new one for now and will do what I always do... buy old stuff and spend more than it's worth making it useable and then get frustrated, sell it for less than nothing and buy the new one. It's "Cheaper" that way right?...LOL
