I bought a bike at auction for the bell & rear rack. It's a Raleigh 10 spd, large frame, made in Nottingham, England. How do I date it? The bell is a Raleigh & the alloy rack was Swiss made. Those 2 parts would cost me $50 for lesser new ones (plus freight). I paid $5, bike & all.

She is a 1976 Sprite. In great condition, she may need one new cable, will need two new tires/tubes. Must have ben stored inside for years. I still can't believe I paid only $5. My cousin, with the long legs, is quite happy & I love the Swiss rear rack & Raleigh chrome bell. I hope everybody has a brush with good luck once in a while. Elmer
