Painting the spokes out to the cross is cool. Very 1910-something.

Thanks Not sure I follow what you're saying though, I only painted the nipple part of the spokes.

Trick of the light? The spokes are darker close to the hub.

Ah! That's oil, I cleaned it off where I masked the spokes but left that for a later time. But it now has the rear hub gears/brake of course

...


The latest change I have made it to put on my Wrights W5 saddle http://www.flickr.com/photos/21720915@N03/ it's amazingly comfortable. I'm not pleased about adding a big chunk of extra weight to my lightest bike, although it's not noticeable when riding.

It's not the lightest now since I got a road bike about 9lb lighter to convert to cyclocross. There's probably only the front fork to sort out on this bike, i'll get it powder coated when the weather warms up, no rush.
