About 2 months ago I was out riding my 1974 Schwinn Stingray Fastback 5-speed around the neighborhood, and a guy flagged me over to the side of the road to check out my bike......... we got to talking about his Stingray he had as a kid........ I told him I collect bikes .....
He is a meter reader for the gas company now ( which means he is in people's basements all the time, spotting old bikes )
He told me about a Raleigh Chopper that he had a lead on in someone's basement ..... We exchanged cell numbers and told him to give me a call if he ever wanted to sell it , ( I have a stable of Muscle bikes so it'd be a perfect addition )
I didn't think too much of it, in fact I almost even forgot about it ( some leads are a dead end , some are not )......
Then out of the blue he called me last week.......
We set up a meet up time for me to check it out today.......

( no, the seat is not torn, its a smudge of wall plaster)
