22 riders in 3 skills groups hit the single track ice last night. There were 8 in our group and about half of us quit after one and a half hours. There were a lot of extensive ice sections and most people fell at lest once (I fell once and the guy behind me couldn't stop and fell on me). A fair amount of walking up icy hills. Rain is predicted for tonight so I might not go out but if I do I will take my rigid Schwinn Frontier with ice studs. Forget the fat bike, you don't need it to ride on ice. It's shaping up to be a dry warm winter here with freezing temperatures only at night.
