Picked this dusty but nice recumbent up recently. No wheels, crank, rear derailleur or seat. I'm thinking I'll build one of the recycled recumbent seats.

I've never owned or even sat on a recumbent before, looks interesting. I'm considering putting it together on a budget. If I don't like it I'll see if my pops wants it....otherwise CL. How much can I spend putting it together and still make a buck? I paid $20 for it, which frankly felt like stealing. Originally i was just going to use the handlebars and windshield on a stalled Huffy Rail project. I know I could just toss it together fairly cheaply but they seem to have some value, would I be smarter stepping up a bit on the components? It currently has XT front thumb shifter and derailleur and Dia-comp X II brakes and a sweet windshield. Any info on year or thoughts on the project are welcome. Seems like a 20" 26" wheel model.

I can't give you any info on it, but I think the better the components the better price you might get. It also depends on how popular recumbents are in your area.

They take some getting use to when learning to ride, but they are fun to ride. I think you got a great deal on the frame, I'd get it together and ride it.

This might help
