I was at a farm auction yesterday and bought some bikes. The auction was at a farm where the guy collected mostly junk for many years. He had around 100 bikes, most of them junk. They were outside for 10 years or more. Al ot of the bikes came from the local dump. Some were missing wheels. The ones I bought were sold with a ton of scrap steel. I asked the guy wo bought the scrap if I could buy some bikes from him. I picked the balloon tire bikes and offered him $20, he said no it was too much. I paid $10 for these 4 bikes. All are in rough shape. The wheels are usable but all the cranks and headsets are frozen. Great winter projects after the buildoff bike is done.
