Finally found the picture hidden deep in my computer. This is one I have wanted to build for a while. Leaf springs from a truck "Super springer"

This could be a members bike, I don't know where I found the picture.....

Anyone else built one?

Be interesting to know if anyone has successfully built one.
Pretty sure the springs would be pretty weakened by welding them, probably prone to breaking... :?:

Luke.

You're not kidding. Spring steel hates heat! I wonder if bolting together would be adequate enough to stay together.

If the welds are strong enough we will ride it. Who knows if it will snap with a 200 pound rider on board. Sure if its under a truck it will fail.

This is Brian's bike, forum member "Stickit" or "Stick-it" Can't remember which. He took that bike on a ride with us and it went along great. A little flex, but the best part was the women the bike attracted! Makes a cool beer getter too!
