I've never done a ratrod bikes before but have always appreciated them. I picked up an amazing tank on ebay and the correct fenders are extremely hard to find so I fiqured....what the heck? He's the inspiration.

I was able to track down a frame and fork. It's a shame but that OG paint on the fork will have to go. Take it easy, the steer tube was cracked so, I feel it was meant to be.

I'm sitting wondering how you will ever be able to make a cool bike out of those parts?? I do think that you could keep the og paint on the fork and not distract from the rat rod theme at all. Heck, at this point, just make it rideable and you have a contender!!

I always thought that Elgin tank was one of the coolest ones ever made. I'd love to have one but they're not cheap. Some day. The bike looks great!! What is that chain guard from?

Not sure about the Chain Guard is from but it's period correct (Prewar). Monark??

I found a Deco fender ornament on eBay. I changed the "K" to a "R" for Robin and sanded of the brand name

Leather, but made some brackets today. I'm thinking about wrapping 1 inch leather straps around it.

Today, I made Metal straps for the tank and and also made leather belts to wrap around it. Also, I changed, painted and added a fender ornament plus added a little color to the tank.
