Re-rim a hub the easy way

Nervous about lacing a wheel?

I used 3" masking tape laid over each spoke in a circle leaving enough room for a spoke wrench then flipped the rim over and laid another circle of tape.

I removed all the nipples and the spokes stayed in perfect position on the hubs.

Mark whic one was hole 1 next to the vavle and also when re lacing don`t get the holes mixed up, especially if the spoke holes are off set.

Or just tape the new rim to the old one, align it with the valve hole and transfer one spoke at a time.
