@Wildcat is usually pretty good with the serial numbers. Have to wait till he wakes up, middle of the night in Philippines.

I would guess mid-'60s just based on the look.

It's a Huffy, going by the chain wheel, dropouts and frame along with the "H" serial number. The first number is the last digit of the year. The decade is determined by the characteristics. The chain wheel is the late 50's version but the frame has the 60's dropouts so I'd say it a 1961 bike.

Great continued work on the paint/patina

Keep plugging away and get this built.

This bike kicked my butt down the stretch. I probably should have mocked it up earlier, but I didn’t, and I paid for it limping across the finish line. The original crank didn’t fit, I needed to order a seat post shim, my chain tool broke just this morning ( which is why I’m stuck with a chain that is too loose ). Because my tires are much bigger, the original kick stand is too short, and a kickstand for a 26” is too tall. I ran out of time for a nice “location” shot, so this is it.

Your build still came out to be a cool ratty grocery getter man!
Glad to see you make it across the finish line.
CONGRATS!!
