Rear bullet light hook up

Anyone know how you get these working, my friend shot it to me and this is all I got. I'm not sure if it's missing parts or if you're supposed to rig something to the red power wire.

see if there is a bulb in it and make sure it is not a dummy light, if there is a bulb in it take it out and read the side of the bulb it should say what the voltage is. if the light is from a car it is 12 volts so a 9 volt batt should lite it up. take the red wire and hook it to the + terminal of the batt , and touch the bracket with the 2 holes in it to the - terminal of the batt and it should light up!
