I always see people on this website that are converting a regular single speed hub to a skiptooth by grinding off the teeth on the rear cog. But since you can remove the rear cog, is it possible to just switch them? Like if you took one from a skiptooth hub and put it on a new hub. Is that possible? Because I don't want to go through the trouble of grinding the teeth off.

Keep it Simple...

Grind every other tooth off an even number rear sprocket.

my worthless opinion.

If you have an old New Departure or older Bendix hub you can easily switch the rear cog to skiptooth. Newer hubs...not so easy. Gary
