Why would a Brooks make a difference in a crash?
I have a brooks on my monocog...and have had some pretty good crashes. There may be a scuff or two, but, I don't really notice...because its a seat and I'm usually sitting on it

Fuji Marlboro folder. It started out red, but after years of neglect and sitting outside, a lot of the red has faded to a dirty white. Photo is of the reddest side. LOL

1956 JC Higgins Christmas catalog bike.
It’s a rest-mod with stockish colors and scheme and upgraded dropcenter wheels with a SRAM Automatrix coaster rear and high flange front, with stainless spokes. Still need to do the tank, chainguard and one year only headlight (got everything, just no room to build at the moment)

With nothing to do (self quarantined)..I get to look through my old pics.
This was a Rollfast 20" tandem frame..with RED primer and satin clear coat...Extremely comfortable.. A neighbor had two young girls (6 + 8), so we reverted it back to a tandem...I used to chuckle watching these two girls riding around the neighborhood...They're in college now.
