Personally I would swap the chain to the opposite rear sprockets so that you take off pedaling normally and change to pedaling backwards when you get to cruising speed.

My thoughts exactly.

FYI, the 2 speed system is generally known as "Retro Direct".

Thanks OzBroz for enlightening and directing me to the plethora of online drive trains. I had a general idea of what the two speed system would do? But when I saw it on the YouTube posts...Wow, that's really awesome! I'm certainly incorporating it into next year's build off!

Well, I haven't done much on Remix the last few days, I've been preoccupied with my latest editions...three Racycles. I finally got around to taking them out of their boxes and getting them together!
