Remove & Install Grips with Air Pressure

I learned a great way to remove and install grips using air pressure. I use a hook tool to open a slight gap to shove the rubber tip of the blow gun in and hit the trigger, the grip will practically fly off. To install just plug the opposite end of the handlebar and put the tip of the blow gun into the hole in the end of the grip, squeeze the trigger and push the grip on with ease. Having a helper makes it easier but still doable alone.

I use an open-end 7/8" wrench and a rubber mallet.

Compressed air under grips for installation or removal is SOP in a bike shop.

If you don't have compressed air, spray WD-40 in there and they'll slide right off

Yep that's where I learned about it, just wanted to share for those that didn't know.

I've stuck the handlebars in the freezer for a while and they pull right off.
