I have an old 10 speed that I am cleaning up to sell, but I first want to remove the old disc brake wheel from the hub.
I removed the lock ring and I can see that it is threaded onto the hub. I can't find a good way to grip it and unscrew it from the hub.
Any ideas???? I already sprayed a liberal amount of PB Blaster on it.

If someone is interested in the whole 5 speed hub, I could cut the spokes and ship the hub and disc together.

I think I am going to cut the spokes and sell the total hub, freewheel, and disc. It should work with a muscle bike. Looks like it is the old Shimano disc.

Two pieces of big wood dowel (or cut off broom handle) in two of the holes mostly across from each other and a leverbar should do it without any damage. Of course, it will help to go the right direction, and it may not be a self tightening thread, though it should be (that is, tightens under braking pressure).
