Removing Crank on Murray Single Speed Cruiser

I feel like this should be easier than it is, but this is the first crank that I have taken off and it doesn't seem to want to budge. I soaked the nut (shown in the pic below) with liquid wrench and it won't move. I've tried clockwise and counter clockwise. Am I doing something wrong?

Try PB Blaster. The threads are reversed, so turn clockwise to loosen it up. Patience and PB Blaster is the key...

Good call...It was all about patience and knowing to turn it clockwise. It came off without too much of a struggle. I just needed to walk away from it for a minute.
