Awesome, thanks for sharing.

Dad had a decent 35mm SLR camera when I was in high school, I took it to college with me and ended up taking a photography class. We rolled our own B/W film and could have as much as we wanted, we developed it too. Very fun. The camera had an "auto" setting, but that was off limits for the class and I took it seriously. I'm so glad now too because I now understand the concepts.

I think it's funny that people are buying nice digital SLR cameras and just leaving them on auto/easy now.

Developing the film had to be fun.

I enjoyed rolling the film and making prints in the dark room, but developing was a bit nerve racking, though I can't remember any of us botching it up.

Some of the print tricks were pretty neat for a view back to pre-digital and Photoshop days.

When printing you had the safe light, for rolling and part of developing you had to do absolute dark. You practiced your moved in the light and set up your work space before the lights went out, that was actually really fun.

A person with a camera is not an Artist. They Duplicate an item they DO NOT create an item.
These two sentences, right here, show us that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I can grab a camera and take a picture, but there is no way in he11 I can do what my wife does with a camera. She creates fantastic photos for her clients, and they pay her well for her ARTISTIC abilities.

You just sound like a grumpy old man who wants the kids to stay off his lawn.

Each of my statements are True. If some people want to twist my statements that is up to them. But it does not change the Truth. Photographers should pay for use of another persons item-image. Photographers duplicate images that Artists create.

Herman, you can believe what you want to, but that doesn't make it Truth, as you put it. But, there's nothing in the constitution that says your freedom of belief means that you'll be right...
