Restoring Grips?

Anyone had any luck restoring old grips. I have a matching set of 4 original grips off my columbia twosome that I'd like to clean up and reuse. I'm looking for any good ideas to get off what I assume is years of grit and sweaty hands.

Try Castrol Super Clean and scrub with a toothbrush. This method has cleaned every grip I have.

fast orange hand cleaner and a toothbrush/fingernail brush. sometimes white grips cant be brung all the way back though.
