Got this pre-WWII Mesinger a few months ago, the leatherette cover had gone away with age and wear: a thin piece of canvas was all that was left.

Was tired of riding on a worn-out seat so got after it yesterday. Here it is a bit into the process:

Very nice!

I have a few questions...
How thick is the leather?
Did you use any foam or other padding?
Is it glued?
How did you apply the stamp?

:D Thanks.

The leather is ~1.5mm thick
I used foam padding and glue, and an arbor press for the stamping.
