Rixe middleweight?

Buddy of mine just picked this up. He's into German cars, so once he found out this was a German brand, he was right on it.

We are looking for information and history on old Rixe bikes, but are not having much luck. Besides a one-paragraph Wikipedia entry that talks about Rixe motorcycles, this is pretty much it:

He'd love to find out what year it is, and the serial number is right on the bottom bracket, but a decoder does not seem to exist online.

Anybody have experience with one of these, or any Rixe bikes for that matter?

For what it's worth, the 26 x 1.75 tires seem to leave a ton of daylight in the fenders, but we tried a set of 2.125 whitewalls I had around and they barely cleared the fork and do NOT play nice with the fender braces. That's why I assumed this is considered a middleweight.

Beacon is probably the model name.

Production moved to China in '84.

Made in West Germany became a thing in ~'74.

If the wheel set is original to the bike. The Made in Germany on the front hub...and the add on look to the West on the rear hub...'may' indicate closer to '74 than not?

You could post the serial... maybe something can be made out of that.
