Even here in Ohio I like to winter commute via bicycle some days, so a nice skinny tire ride for those dry days. The klunker and GT knobby set ups are annoying in bare pavement

Had about half hour before work to mess around and remembered I’d been hanging onto this Murray for some reason

Tape measure says it’s smaller then the coke huffy. So tore them both down to bare frames and

It looks like I’ll be building the Murray frame. Using most of the parts off the huffy. It’s 18 degrees out and I’m now thinking about paint

I've got a similar Murray frame I thought about entering in the SWBO, but even that frame feels too tall for me. Though that may be because I like my seats down as low as they'll go. Looking forward to seeing how you build up that Murray!

The northwest part of the state. Flat and windy for sure. I don’t ride daily anymore but sometimes feel like I need the exercise

This Murray would have been better if it was yellow

Because I’m not sure I even like road bikes but this one had a bunch of tape and residue on the down tube so

Flapper wheel and some 100 grit. Using my old junk trash can because my wife finally had me start the back porch clean up and rebuild so I lost the paint table

And because it was 31 degrees I cleaned everything up so I can keep it inside tomorrow while the wife’s at work to hopefully get some primer on it right after work.

My top of the line primer booth today kept the frame and paint inside overnight and the only bad spot is under the BB because the frame got cold before I sprayed that spot.

Wife busted me stashing it tonight but like always she doesn’t care hoping tomorrow or Sunday it’s solid enough to sand

Let the wife pick the paint, she picked what she thought was sparkly black

it’s very sparkly clear coat

over black it looks awesome and I’m going with it

It’s this rustoleum and some cheap black base coat. Rural king store brand. According to my wife they sell this rainbow shimmer with black (what this is) silver and gold caps. The cap is the recommended base coat color
