Hi everyone,

Picking this roadmaster bike up tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone could help me ID what year it might be (Rough Guess helps) and what type. Also about how much I should spend for it. New to vintage bikes so any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum! If the chainguard is original, I'd say it's a late 60s bike. One way to tell for sure, is where the rear fender braces attatch to the frame dropouts. AMF bikes from the mid 50s up have an recessed fender brace tab. The springer fork is probably a newer reproduction, but I'd say it's a good buy for $60. -Adam

Thanks Rustinkerer.

From everything I looked at online I was thinking the same timeframe. When I get it home I will post the serial numbers.

I don't believe its a roadmaster bike now, think someone just put the chainguard on it.

I don't know if any of this helps but it has a deluxe sport seat, and the kickstand says Greenfield on it. This site has an example of the seat on my bike.

Starting to think I might just have a frankenstein bike (Mismatch parts). Will post a picture when I actually find my camera.
