I agree, but I am still fairly certain that the whole upper and lower tank center panel will be painted gumby. Here are some pics with the painted paper panel.

I know it's all about the looks on theses bikes we build in the big compilation,,, but how dose this bad boy ride . Is the Ruff frame comfortable & what about the action on the old Shelby fork ? Over all are you happy with the ride on this bike brother ?

I am EXTREMELY happy with the ride!! The ride geometry on this Ruff doesn't feel much different from any other pedal forward frame (Townie, Rat Fink, etc). I've bolted up the springer so there is no springer action. The looks are perfect for this build, but the action is too soft.

How are you keeping the rear fender from moving around when you ride? Is it just the two axel braces holding it?

Currently that is all that is holding it. I havent gotten around the the front brace yet.

The guard really cleaned up well with some cheap Turtle Wax Polishing Compound.

Thanks, I miss these build offs and the camaraderie!!! I sold my California house last year and put everything in storage and have been traveling. I'm currently living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Perhaps, next year I'll be back for BO13?
