I got the guard painted today. My wife made me a Rollfast Logo stencil, so I taped it up and painted it to the 50’s era guards above with a little of the busyness cleaned up.

Now on to finishing up the tank!

So I just couldn’t make myself love the bugeyes on this bike, so they gotta go!

I’ll save them for something else.

Time to strip ‘em down and do the body work.

I got the frame cleaned up, touched up, and repainted the white this morning and got the tank halves in primer today. If nothing crazy happens I should be able to finish it up this weekend.

Got the Rollfast seat tube decal installed.

Got it put back together and added some truss rods I had in my parts stash. I’m working on the tank now.

Final reassembly this morning! The morning lighting was a little funky, but I’ll get better pictures later.

I’m quite pleased with the way it turned out!
“Daily” rider is a foreign concept for me because I rarely ride the same bike twice in a row, but I do believe I’ll ride this one the most.

How did you get all the lines so crisp when painting? A special kind of tape?

I used Vinyl pinstripes to frame out the edges of my lines on the white parts and then come back over it with masking tape mask the green part. I’ve never found any tape that leaves a crisp line like the pinstripes do.

I finally found the correct rack for this bike. I wanted to test fit it and make sure everything was good before I sanded it down and painted it.
Seems to add a touch o’ class!
