i wish my nexus 4 wheelset had the same rims as yours mine yours are wide and flat where mine look peaked and narrow like all the cheap bikes at walmart have now and I think if I even painted them they wouldnt have the right look
I do have a set of double drop step wheels but I got too much going on to even think about relacing them

I nixed the 31 Ford tail light for the bike..
it looks great..but it's to bulky and I didn't
like the way it sat!

I painted the Craft Store "Offenhauser" letters and they didn't
turn out the way I liked so I had a Friend print me
up some on Vinyl.
I applied them tonight..so now I can mount the Tank / Heads

The Acorn nuts are just placed for now....

peace,
Kev.

I can't wait to mount these on!

Put some Dubin on that saddle now before you start riding it. It should come out pretty nice, it will give the leather back some flex and shine. Rehydrate it. Very nice job so far man. I did the same thing on my cruiser with the stick tape. Great build!

i like your taste in footwear...

watch out for those pesky angle grinders though... this coulda been disastrous! (i am very, very safety conscience too...)

Appearently you wern't wearing your steel toed Chucks, lol...Kelly

I placed the tank..drilled a few pillot holes...
countersunk..and mounted the tank..
I then mixed up some 2 part Epoxy Glue and glued the Accorn
nut over the screw heads..and in place.
I have a few more details to figure out and the Chain is
going back on for a test Ride...

more goodies to come..

Kev, It is coming together nicely. I think this is the first time your post has dropped this low.

So bumpin back upl.

Ok..I'm at a bit of a "Stand Still" waiting sooo badly to Ride!

I removed the Chainring and gave it a couple more thin coats
( that makes it about 10 ) of Satin Clear
( with help from Micro-Heater ).I would like to see the
Ring stay in tact as long
as possible from chain wear..
I plan to ride this Bad Girl.

I took it out in the cold..and quickly back in
after touching up
the bars from twisting them around
to get the right angle.
( once again I was rushing to see what it
looked like .....when they where not cured yet )

and my Tank..well,when I was mounting it
I had it placed..not set..and as I was visuallising the finish
( for about 10 minutes ) it fell off and bounced
off the chainring :x :x :x ..
but this battle scar is here to stay!
it's an easy touch up.....
but I'll leave it as a gentle reminder to slow down!

I pre-drilled and drove a Self-tapping screw through
the Center Tube/seat post so it stays put!
Further adjustment can be done buy loosening the seat.

and that's it for now..I can't throw the chain on
for a good week....because once I do I'll
want to ride it RIGHT AWAY!
and I know I'll gibble up the clear
on the chainring..
..so like a kid the week before Christmas,
I must wait!

peace,
Kev.
