What cable did you use with that Sachs shifter and hub? I need one. I have everything else including the cable adapter to the chain.

In my opinion, I'm not in love with the headlight.

I am in love, however, with the rest of the bike.

Take it for what it's worth.

What's wrong with some micro, high intensity Leds?

That's what's so cool with cars and bikes. Nothing cooler than a '70 mustang fastback, except a '70 mustang fastback with angel eyes and HIDs- from a BMW.

Think out of the box. Integrate the old with the new.

i love it, where, or what did the large wing nuts come off of, or did u find them at a hardware store?

@tatman: the wingnuts on the front wheel were standard on almost all bikes made in GDR (I also have a pair for the rear). The wingnuts on the rear wheel are from Fichtel & Sachs (later became Sachs and is now known as SRAM)...
