Here is another Cowtown Mallroom find from Sunday. Was told it is a '36 and I'm guessing that's pretty close. It has a 26" metal clencher rim w/New Departure D hub on back so probably from the early balloon years. The front has been replaced and is a ND black out hub, probably replaced when it was wrecked (front fork bent back a little and signs of welding at the front headtube). Bars, stem, and seat all appear to be replaced too. Rough but has potential I guess?

How can you tell the tire size if you have no tire on the rim? I also have an old Elgin, but it has the single tube tire wheels.

No, they are 26" rims, (about 23" across) or should I just say for 26" balloon tires. That's why I think it is a 35 or 36.

That's a Schwinn B1 seat. Early 40's through the 50's. Standard seat on a B6. Gary
