Schenectady Bike Rescue /Local clubs??

Anyone know of any Rat Rodders or non racing bike clubs near Schenectady/Rotterdam/Niskayuna NY?? (Or any appropriate events nearby? (Besides Copake, that is..)

On the same tangent....Is anyone here from the Schenectady Bike Rescue organization??

Thanks....I've seen their site - I'm just going to have to go there on Thursday I guess to meet 'em.

I finally was able to get away from work to see just what they are all about.. Looks like a dedicated bunch attempting to stem the tide of useable bikes flowing into the wast stream, and provide bikes for the inner city folks. They turn bikes that most folks would toss into rideable safe machines.

Great bunch of people with a huge project.

Good for them ! So many bikes get junked because they need adjustments, a tire or tube sometimes just a rusted chain.

Don't forget about the swap meet at Steve Hickeys place , I am trying to get him to do three swaps this year plus a ride this summer
