SCHWINN 20"SLIK real or not!!??

real or not!!??,....I have a schwinn 20" slik. I was told by the person i got it from that its an original early Krate rear tire. I need some honest answers . So I'm hoping I can get info or some one can aim me in the right direction. On ebay the price range is extreme for this item [ not a good reference] So any help -- would help.

YES, i looked on the outside for the pie or clock looking sign or the "tag" oval w/ #'s and nothing... :shock: :shock:

id say its original ...it should have 2 little circles on it tho...im not sure if they all had those or not...i know my original slick and grippers have em ...cool tire either way ...and yes the r worth some coin ...MIKE

If it's a newer slick it will have made in China stamped in the outside bead. look for that.

I would assume if you cant' find the marks from the link I posted above, it is a newer tire.

O.k. I looked for all that [ I can't make out the chart anyway, its too blurry] and nothing. maybe I'll shoot a close up of every inch of both side walls to post. And maybe some one will see something I'm not. :idea: :?: :|

its the older one.. the first two people said it was.. and they dont use that color casing anymore.. its pink or black now. tell-tale sign of an old tire. and plus, the repop sliks didnt come with painted letters, and the letters were coverd in those little nips

I didn't know if thats repairable, But I guess not. Oh well into the dumpster it goes for trash pick up tomorrow.

I've got one too,if anyone wants it. It's NOT a Slik (it's brick-pattern),it's not white-lettered,but as far as I know it's an original.

I'll even ship it, free of charge....
