I don't care for those tires either , I bought a similar odd badged Schwinn , that the seller put "new tires" on ,30thtbird said:Bet that'll clean up nice. Even if wide whites weren't original, I think they look cool on it. Don't care for the tractor grip treaded tires like those, but cool none the less.

It doesn't have a tapered kickstand by any chance, does it? (1946 only) That bike would have come with black wall tires. Schwinn rarely, if ever, put white walls on a DX ballooner that had white or cream as the second color. And no, I don't think it would look good with red tires. :? That badge is the best part of the bike. Keep it, sell the rest. Gary
