My love of cars died when my favorite one left us. A 1988 Chevy Celebrity Wagon that I paid $1000. It had the 2.5L 4 banger took me everywhere without breaking down, cheap on gas and started every morning even at -30 without the block heater. I can't afford to dump money in a car for other reasons than going from A to B. My current piece of crap is a money pit minivan that I can't get rid of because I 'm still paying for it. If it wasn't for the fact that the floor boards went, I would still be driving that roller paint job black wagon.

Sounds just like my ’88 Eurosport 4-door. Hands down the most reliable car I’ve ever owned. It’s been in the family since new, and at 300K Km’s, still going strong. A wee bit rusty, yes, but a truly bulletproof drivetrain. Maybe some of the BC guy’s will know where I can get a drivers side door for it?

Who would have ever guessed my “keeper” would be a four-door sedan and NOT the ‘Cuda.

Life is funny.

thats funny years ago I bought a 88 celebrity wagon on a sealed bid auction where I worked for 161 bucks! and drove it the 30 mile round trip for 8 years only changing the oil and adding gas!. you could walk thru it it was so rusty lol

I had a 1980 Honda Civic Wagon that my Dad bought from
California. When I bought it in 1990 for $2000.00 it had 61,000 miles.

Change oil..premium plus gas...a few starters and such and I
sold it for $900.00 in 2000

...and It 375,000.00 MILES!!!!!! and still Ran great
That 1600 CVCC Engine was awesome

all those miles where from me ,Working all over The Province.

I loved that thing...

sorry again for what i said but u made me mad lol NO TUNERS!!

funny...most "tuners" (and the one pictured is NOT a tuner) are built here in the USA! Many of the parts on that HD motorcycle are made overseas...it's done to increase the profit margin.
the US car makers are behind the times...too many cars that get crap gas milage...imagine what gas prices would be if the US government didn't subsidize...twice what we pay now (at least!).

I love my GF's 1949 Ford PU (347 stroker) except when we need to fill it up (again...and again...and again!)

Heck, if you could find a Diesel-electric hybrid, i'd buy that (80+ MPG).

You don't have to drive a lame car to get good gas mileage. My air cooled VWs are a cool as hell and cheap to own and operate too.

And sportsters may be "chick bikes" but I wouldn't ride any other newer harley, they're all too big and ugly. Sporties I like.

sporster + extended swing-arm (and fender) = great bike

don't get me wrong..I am a runt at 5' 8" tall and 148 lbs soaking wet.
I like a small bike too...But a sportie always looks better tricked out.

I like The Wire Wheels on a Sportie VS. The Mags.

It has a nicer old School look with Wires...all be it The Mag's are safer.

I agree with both above quotes...

Kev.

I heard the Sportster called Skirtster other day and about fell over. I have no opinions about them just thought I would relay. I proudly own a 73 f250 and 94 Bronco that both suck gas but only about once a week- bike daily.

RIck hope your dad's health improves.

THANKS SKODA! I was riding my spit fire today, and my front tire fell off! i
forgot 2 "torqe" my bolts down... I got em finger tight and rode it to a buddys house.

Hard core bikers have a sayig "Sportser quick" they may not have all the bells and whistles of "larger models" and that is the point. Hence the name! Nice GS RR you dont even see those anymore. I agree with the mob, nice collection for a young dude there Rick, I especially like the ladies 50ish DX. Looks very similar to my 49 DX Later & PEACE!!!! 8)
