I saw this 'vintage cruiser with springer fork' on the local Kijiji this past weekend while definitely not looking for bikes, parts or projects.
The rear brake stays, CCM crank and little white peddles, straight bars and aluminium rims did not deter enough me from looking a bit closer at the 3 blurry ad pics in my shattered android screen. 🤔
Hmmm, Brooks saddle ...nicely toasted, and a chunky paint slathered springer... Is it locking? repro? an AS bolt? hmmm.... possibly worth the admission?

How could I not buy the ticket and take the ride. It was in my neighbourhood.
Upon arrival at home....
Isn't she, she... Something????
I find that The First 48 hours are most crucial when assessing a new steed, quellung any buyer's remorse that may arise and building a possible bond with the possible new herd member.

I stripped some paint off chrome bits and scuffed and oiled the old rattle can finish. Of course did full round of lubeage, added some other stuffs and will call it done...
The 3 speed Sachs hub as bought proved strong and smooth and I have better hoop options down the road.

The serial number dates the frame and locking fork to March of '53.
Happy 70th to my new old friend on our inaugural ride this morning.

This is the other frame and parts source that I've been building around with the holes drilled thru.
The guy that sold me black bike is to mend my bare frame this week.
Then there I go again.
Fingers Crossed.
