But how old is it? The Serial is on the left rear dropout and begins LA3XXXX. It looks to be early '60s?

It looks all original down to the inner tubes! Just about everything is marked Schwinn.

That's what my wifes 63 looked like when we got it. This is what it looks like now. PS hers wasn't in as good shape as yours

i found the same bike last week and it had a license plate as well. did these come on this model originally or is it a coincidence?

Here's the licsense plate. It's for Jefferson Cnty , CO. I have another for Broomfield.
