schwinn kickstand mount ????

quick questions guys....
pre-80s chicago schwinns...
the mount for the kickstand...are these brazed on?
i've cut and ground them off before, but it dawned on me this morning to take a torch to one and see if i could just heat it up and twist it off?

any thoughts?

i think they are brazed or silver soldered on, and they are a pain to twist off. youll end up ripping holes in the metal, as they are some sorta stamped in.
