I picked this up a couple weeks ago with 4 other bikes - they really are cheaper by the dozen. I like this frame so this is one Schwinn I'm going to keep. A lot of paint has already been stripped off it so I guess I'm going to paint this one. I was told it's a 1948 B-6 but I doubt it's a B-6. I'm used to seeing the Phantom style fender light on B-6s and that requires a hole in the fender which this doesn't have. But I'm no Schwinn expert - you tell me. Sorry, I don't have the serial number yet. I took one quick pic of each and hung them up in my storage space. To be continued.

Why don't these bikes exist in Georgia! :x
All I can find is Chinese Schwinns and Huffys! Oh yeah, and tons of either overpriced MTBs or a load of 'Wal-mart' full suspension 'comfort' bikes.
I'm not bitter, just JEALOUS!
Awesome bike dude!

Agree with Gary, looks like a hornet deluxe with a panther chainguard. the hornet deluxe should of had the same guard but they were usually painted white in the rear. I only say it looks like a hornet because of the painted fenders.
